Get Your Tissues Out: A Hospital Allows Pets To Visit Their Sick Owners
We're already sobbing over how beautiful this is!
Being in the hospital can be tough, especially if you have a best bud at home waiting for you to come back. Juravinski hospital in Ontario, Canada has started to allow pets to visit their owners through a program called Zachary's Paws for Healing.
Best friends having a cuddle, no matter what.
The program was started by Donna Jenkins, after she noticed how much it benefited her nephew Zachary to be around dogs when he was battling Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma.
So happy to see each other!
Jenkins says that the visits do several things. It reminds people that they have a reason to get better.
You can't beat that face!
It lets the patients forget that they're sick for a little while.
This cuddle is everything.
It's even important for the dogs-it lets them know that their parent is still there, that they haven't been abandoned.
Smiles all around!
The animals can visit for an hour, once a week. The hospital says that the program is already seeing incredible results! Watch the adorable video here:
