The 10 Greatest Discontinued Snacks Of The 90's
The 90's was a time for food exploration. A time when snacks, drinks, sweets and fast food could be multi-coloured and when food was expected to look like, well, anything other than food!
Dunkaroos were every kids' favourite snack. Graham crackers dipped in a tub of frosting, what could be better! Unfortunately for the next generation, Betty Crocker discontinued their production.
The cookies and cream cereal was a favourite among '90s kids, but when it was discontinued, it became nearly impossible to find. Now, the cereal is only available in South Korea.
Pepsi's short-lived experiment in making their signature pop clear may have only lasted a year, but it created a legion of dedicated consumers who've missed the product for over a decade.
EZ Squirt Ketchup
Heinz's attempt to market ketchup to kids is considered one of the biggest food flops of all time, but a look at those bizarre coloured ketchup bottles will instantly fill you with 90's nostalgia.
Butterfinger BB's turned the chocolate bar into bite-sized little pieces that were easy to eat. They were a favourite among many, including "The Simpsons," but were unfortunately discontinued.
Doritos 3D were simply regular Doritos puffed up with air in the middle- but somehow, they tasted so much nicer! They also came in canisters where the lid turned into a bowl.
The king of the sea was also the king of every kids lunch box when it came to gummy sweets. Unfortunately they swam off our shelves at the end of the 90's.
Hi-C Ecto Cooler
Hi-C was determined to squeeze every bit of merchandising out the "Ghostbusters" franchise and the juice became a hit throughout the late '80s and '90s, but the citrus juice box died down and was discontinued before the turn of the century.
Orbitz was one of the most eye-catching soft drinks available. They were filled with edible balls that floated in the clear drink, giving the effect of a lava lamp. Unfortunately, the drink was quickly discontinued due to poor sales.
These crisps blew every peanut-butter-lover's mind. A crispy peanut replica casing, filled with a sweet peanut butter cream. Sadly Planters discontinued the item in the late 90's.
